Microneedling and facial acupuncture, natural non-invasive treatments that stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate skin from within.
Unlike Botox or fillers, these treatments work with your body's natural healing mechanisms to create lasting improvements in skin texture and tone, no downtime, no chemicals. Facial acupuncture uses fine needles to stimulate collagen production, improve circulation, and enhance the skin's natural radiance. Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the body's natural healing response and stimulating collagen and elastin production. Both can be done individually or combined for enhanced results.
Stimulates natural collagen to firm and plump the skin.
Enhances circulation for a brighter, more even complexion.
Softens wrinkles, acne scars, and uneven texture with repeated treatment.
Mild redness for 24 to 48 hours is normal. Most patients return to normal activities the same day.

Added to an Acupuncture session (90 min total): $300

Acupuncture is one of the oldest healing systems in the world — and also one of the most misunderstood. Many people picture it as a mystical practice with no scientific basis. The reality is quite different. Modern research has shed considerable light on exactly how and why acupuncture works, and the results are compelling.
When an acupuncture needle is inserted into a specific point on the body, it stimulates the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These chemicals either change the experience of pain directly, or they trigger the release of other chemicals and hormones which influence the body's own internal regulating system.
The improvement in energy and biochemical balance produced by acupuncture results in stimulating the body's natural healing abilities and in promoting physical and emotional well-being.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends acupuncture for more than 100 symptoms, conditions, and diseases. This includes chronic pain, neurological conditions, digestive disorders, respiratory issues, fertility concerns, skin problems, stress, anxiety, and much more.
At Orthopedic Alternatives, we specialize in the natural treatment of neurological and musculoskeletal conditions — with a focus on reducing pain, improving mobility, and enhancing circulation.
This is the most common question we hear. The short answer: usually not. Acupuncture needles are extremely fine — much thinner than a hypodermic needle. Most patients feel little to no discomfort during insertion. When the needle reaches the correct depth, you may feel a sensation of heaviness, warmth, or a mild ache — this is called the "arrival of Qi" and is a sign the treatment is working.
The effects of acupuncture are cumulative. An average treatment plan involves 8 to 10 treatments, though improvements are generally noticed within the first few sessions. For chronic or complex conditions, we may recommend 1–2 sessions per week for several months.

Certified Sports Medicine Acupuncture® blends Eastern medicine with modern orthopedic science. Here is what sets it apart from traditional acupuncture — and why athletes love it.
Certified Sports Medicine Acupuncture® (C.SMA®) is a specialized, integrative approach that combines Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern sports medicine principles to effectively assess, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal injuries and athletic performance issues.
Unlike general traditional acupuncture, which often focuses on systemic patterns and energetic imbalances, Sports Medicine Acupuncture emphasizes orthopedic evaluation, functional anatomy, manual muscle testing, and advanced needling techniques to address specific injuries and biomechanical dysfunctions.
This style bridges Eastern and Western medicine — using palpation-based diagnostics and precise needle placement to affect muscle function, joint alignment, and pain pathways, while still incorporating the foundational principles of traditional Chinese medicine.
Sports Medicine Acupuncture is highly effective for: sprains and strains, tendinopathies, rotator cuff injuries, IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, shin splints, stress fractures, postural imbalances, and performance recovery. It is used by professional athletes, weekend warriors, and anyone dealing with movement-related pain.
Elizabeth Eberius, LAc, C.SMA® is a Certified Sports Medicine Acupuncture® Specialist and Functional Mobility Specialist — one of a select group of practitioners in Wisconsin with this advanced certification. She combines her C.SMA® training with functional movement assessment to create individualized treatment plans that address the root cause of your condition.

Can acupuncture help you get pregnant? Here is what current research says about acupuncture's role in supporting natural fertility and IVF outcomes.
Fertility challenges affect millions of people, and many are turning to acupuncture as a natural complement to both conventional fertility treatments and as a standalone approach. As a medical doctor from Brazil and licensed acupuncturist specializing in women's health, I have seen firsthand how much acupuncture can support the fertility journey.
Acupuncture supports fertility through several mechanisms: regulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis (which controls hormone production), improving blood flow to the uterus and ovaries, reducing stress hormones like cortisol that can interfere with ovulation, and supporting overall health and immune function.
Acupuncture is commonly used before and after embryo transfer during IVF cycles. Research suggests that acupuncture administered on the day of embryo transfer may improve implantation rates. We work in coordination with your reproductive endocrinologist to time treatments appropriately within your IVF protocol.
Acupuncture for fertility can help with: PCOS, endometriosis, irregular cycles, poor ovarian reserve, unexplained infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, and male factor infertility. It is also deeply supportive for the emotional toll of the fertility journey — reducing anxiety, improving sleep, and restoring a sense of wellbeing.
Ready to start your fertility journey? Call +1 (920) 241-3719 to book a consultation with Bruna.

Both treatments rejuvenate skin naturally — but they work differently and target different concerns. Here is how to choose, or how to combine both for the best results.
Two of our most popular services are Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation and Microneedling. Patients often ask us which one they should choose. The honest answer? You do not always have to choose — but understanding how they differ will help you decide what is right for your skin goals.
Acupuncture facial rejuvenation involves the insertion of ultra-fine needles at specific points on the face and body. It works by stimulating collagen production, improving circulation, and balancing the body's energy — which shows up as improved skin tone, reduced fine lines, and a natural glow. Because it treats the whole person, not just the face, patients often notice improvements in energy, sleep, and stress levels alongside their skin results. Best for: specific wrinkles, sagging, and overall facial vitality. Recommended frequency: weekly for best results.
Microneedling uses a device with tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries across the skin's surface. This triggers the body's wound-healing response, producing new collagen and elastin. It is particularly effective for improving overall skin texture, reducing acne scars, minimizing pores, and addressing hyperpigmentation. Best for: overall texture, tone, scars, and pores. Recommended frequency: monthly.
You do not have to choose. For patients who want comprehensive skin rejuvenation, we recommend combining both: 1 Microneedling session plus 3 Acupuncture Facials per month for 3 months. Your entire epidermis regenerates every 1–3 months, so this protocol catches the full cycle and delivers the most significant, lasting results.
Not sure which is right for you? Call +1 (920) 241-3719 and we will help you figure it out.
Facial acupuncture or microneedling — we can help you choose.
Craniosacral Fascial Therapy is one of the gentlest and most effective treatments for newborns and infants dealing with tongue-tie, colic, torticollis, and birth trauma.
As a Craniosacral Fascial Therapist and Licensed Massage Therapist, one of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping newborns and infants find relief from conditions that can make early life — and breastfeeding — incredibly difficult. Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) is one of the gentlest, safest, and most effective tools we have for this age group.
CFT combines craniosacral therapy with fascial release techniques to address tension patterns throughout the entire body — from the skull to the sacrum and everywhere in between. The treatment is extremely gentle. For infants, the pressure used is typically no more than the weight of a nickel. There are no harsh manipulations or adjustments.
CFT is particularly effective for infants dealing with: tongue-tie (before or after frenectomy), lip tie, colic and excessive crying, torticollis (neck tightness/head tilt), breastfeeding difficulties, latch issues, birth trauma from forceps or vacuum delivery, and general fussiness or sleep difficulties.
Sessions typically last 30–60 minutes. Your baby can be held, nursing, or lying comfortably during the session. Most infants are calm or even fall asleep during treatment. Parents often notice changes in feeding, sleep, and comfort within 1–3 sessions.
Questions about CFT for your infant? Call +1 (920) 241-3719 to speak with Chailey.

Herbal medicine has been used for thousands of years to restore balance and treat disease. Here is how it works at Orthopedic Alternatives and what you can expect from a prescription.
Chinese herbal medicine is one of the oldest and most sophisticated pharmacological systems in the world. Unlike Western pharmaceuticals that typically target a single receptor or pathway, Chinese herbal formulas use combinations of plants, minerals, and natural substances that work together synergistically to address the root cause of illness.
At Orthopedic Alternatives, herbal formulas are prescribed by our nationally certified Chinese Herbologists after a thorough consultation. We look at your full health picture — not just your main complaint — to craft a formula tailored specifically to your constitution, current condition, and health goals. No two formulas are identical.
We offer several forms depending on your preference and condition: raw herbs (decocted/boiled into a tea), powdered granules (dissolved in hot water), and capsules or pills for convenience. Your practitioner will recommend the most effective form for your situation.
Chinese herbs are generally very safe when prescribed by a trained, certified herbologist. It is important to always disclose any medications you are taking, as some herbs can interact with pharmaceuticals. Our practitioners are trained to screen for interactions and will always take your full medication list into account before prescribing.
Interested in herbal medicine? Ask about it at your next acupuncture appointment or call +1 (920) 241-3719.
